Buy safety by risk, not as one bundle. For everyday injuries at home and while travelling, start with first aid kits, and two smaller sets beat one large one: one indoors, one in the car. For dust, insulation or mould work, dust masks and face masks are enough. For gases and vapours the real trade-off is full face masks, if you want your eyes covered too, against half masks, if weight and field of view matter more; check sizing and store spare gas mask filters sealed. For the outdoors and longer stays, emergency blankets, hygiene, sun protection and insect and tick protection round the set out.
