O.R.S., Pomegranate/Orange Flavour

Stay alert and make sure there is always O.R.S. within reach. A combination of the right amounts of salts and glucose improves the absorption of water during physical exertion or when your body's fluid balance is out of kilter. This glucose-salt preparation has a pomegranate/orange flavour and is suitable for all ages. Formulated in line with the World Health Organization (WHO). Instructions for use: Dosage for adults and children over 20kg: Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in 200ml of reliable drinking water (do not use in combination with other liquids/drinks). Dosage for children under 20kg: Dissolve 1 sachet in 200 ml of reliable drinking water. Stir until the powder has fully dissolved. Use 10 ml per kilo of body weight as a guide and administer this every hour, for 4 to 6 hours. For infants we recommend administering a teaspoon of O.R.S. solution every 2-4 minutes. The solution can be given with a spoon or from a (sterilised) bottle. Preferably give the O.R.S. solution before bottle- or breastfeeding, as it will then be easier to drink enough of it. Afterwards, offer feeding as usual. Even if you need less solution, you must still dissolve 1 sachet in 200 ml of water. Then use the correct amount and throw away the remaining solution or store it according to the storage advice.
