Mains power anywhere
Portable power stations
Battery power stations with real mains sockets from EcoFlow and Anker SOLIX. Choose on capacity in watt-hours and the output your devices need.
A power station is a battery with a built-in inverter, so you get normal sockets, USB-C and 12V output without a generator or fuel. Prepz stocks EcoFlow and Anker SOLIX, from compact units for a weekend away to models that keep a fridge and a heating system running through an outage. Judge them on capacity in watt-hours, continuous output in watts and how fast they recharge.

Two numbers decide your choice. Capacity in watt-hours tells you how long you can keep going, output in watts tells you what you can run at the same time. A laptop, router and LED lighting need very little, while a kettle, microwave or pump can pull a peak of a thousand watts or more. Add up what really has to stay on and choose well above that figure, so the unit is not working at its limit. If you need to bridge more than a day, pick a model you can extend with an expansion battery or top up with a portable solar panel. For a matched pairing, look at the kits with a solar panel included.
Frequently asked questions
Anything that runs on 230V, USB or 12V, as long as you stay within the rated output. Phones, laptops, lighting, a router and a fridge are fine on most models. Devices with a heating element, such as a kettle or microwave, need far more power and only work with the heavier units.
