Two numbers decide your choice. Capacity in watt-hours tells you how long you can keep going, output in watts tells you what you can run at the same time. A laptop, router and LED lighting need very little, while a kettle, microwave or pump can pull a peak of a thousand watts or more. Add up what really has to stay on and choose well above that figure, so the unit is not working at its limit.
