The Climax ABEK2P3 gas mask filter protects against large quantities of gases, vapours and fine particles. The letter and number combination tells you exactly which substances: - A (class 2): organic gases and vapours with boiling point above 65 °C, such as solvents - B (class 2): inorganic gases and vapours such as chlorine, hydrogen sulphide and hydrogen cyanide - E (class 2): acid gases such as sulphur dioxide and hydrogen chloride - K (class 2): ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives - P3: dust particles, bacteria, viruses and radioactive particles, highest class Which masks does this filter fit? The filter has a standard EN 148/1 screw thread and therefore fits the Climax 731, Climax 731-C and 731-S, Climax M731-C and M731-S, and many other full-face masks with a standardised connection. Also popular as a spare filter for the MSA Advantage series and other EN 148/1 compatible masks. Certification and materials The materials used are high-grade and not harmful to humans. The lower part of the filter protects against chemical gases and vapours. Together with the activated-carbon section it filters A, B, E and K gases, while the P3 dust capsule stops fine dust and biological particles.
