Berkey Imperial Water Filter - Up to 62.5 Litres Per Hour

The Berkey Imperial water filter is the second-largest model in the Berkey range and sits in size between the Royal and the Crown. With a capacity of 17 litres and a throughput of up to 62.5 litres per hour (with 6 Black Berkey elements), it provides plenty of purified drinking water for large households, community centres or emergency communities that have to go several days without tap water. How the Berkey Imperial works Fill the upper chamber with tap water, rainwater or water from another source. Under gravity, the water flows through 2 to 6 Black Berkey filter elements to the lower chamber, where you draw it off with the supplied spigot. No power, no pumps, no plumbing installation needed. Black Berkey filter technology The Black Berkey elements remove bacteria and viruses (>99.999%), protozoa, heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium), chlorine (100%), pesticides, pharmaceutical residues, microplastics and various petrochemical compounds. Tested to NSF/ANSI 42 and 53. One pair of elements handles up to around 22,700 litres of water, so with 6 elements up to 68,100 litres. Specifications Capacity: 17 litres.
