Description

A starting point to complete yourself This kit combines nine core items for information, first aid, lighting and several other basic needs. It includes a printable A4 checklist to help you review what your own household still needs. Add drinking water, extra meals and personal essentials yourself. The kit alone is therefore not a complete 72-hour supply. The Dutch Denk Vooruit campaign uses three days as a starting point for preparation at home. This does not guarantee that a disruption ends then or that assistance will be available everywhere. Decide what your household needs and agree how to stay in contact and help each other. The nine core items 1. Totle Noodradio Essential Plus — 2000 mAh, with a solar panel and hand crank. A radio for receiving information without mains power. Find your regional station and test reception beforehand. Use the manual to learn its charging options and phone top-up function; runtime and charging output depend on conditions. 2. Care Plus First Aid Kit Basic — first-aid kit with instructions. Check the contents and add personal supplies. A kit does not replace first-aid knowledge. 3. Seven Oceans emergency ration — 500 grams, 2500 kcal per pack. An addition to your food supply, not a complete three-day meal plan. Follow the label for use, allergens and any preparation with water. 4. Trek'n Eat Trekking Biscuits / Hartkeks — 2 pieces. An additional food option. Check the label for ingredients and allergens, and include them in your own meal plan. 5. BonQ emergency blanket — silver, 130 x 210 cm. A compact emergency blanket to complement your preparation. Add ordinary blankets and suitable clothing for everyday warmth, and use the emergency blanket as instructed. 6. BCB SOS whistle CK316 — a tool for attracting attention by sound. Keep it accessible. Range and audibility depend on the surroundings; it does not guarantee contact with emergency services. 7. Pillar candle 120/58 — an open-flame light source. Use a suitable, stable, non-flammable holder, keep it away from combustible items and supervise it. Extinguish it before leaving or sleeping. Add a suitable torch yourself for lighting without an open flame. 8. Lighter — for lighting the candle when it is safe to do so. Do not use the candle or lighter as an improvised heater or cooking solution. Only light a gas appliance manually if its own instructions allow it; an outage does not make unsuitable equipment safe. 9. Care Plus hand gel with aloe vera — 100 ml. An addition for hand hygiene, used according to its label. Keep the gel away from the burning candle and other ignition sources. Add the other hygiene products your household needs yourself. What you still need to arrange Drinking water, canned food and other extra meals, ordinary blankets, tools, cash and personal belongings are not included. Consider medicines, infant food, food and water for pets, contact information and a torch with suitable power. Compare your own list with the included checklist. The Dutch baseline recommends 3 litres of water per person per day: 9 litres per person for three days. Account for pets and additional needs separately. Have drinking water ready in advance; an empty water container is not yet a water supply. A Sawyer Mini or water purification tablet does not make every unknown source safe and is not included in this set. Choose any additional water treatment only for a suitable source and follow the product's specific limitations. Storage and checks The stated shelf life is 5 years for Seven Oceans and 2 to 3 years for the Trek'n Eat biscuits. The date on the delivered packaging determines the remaining shelf life. Also check the dates and condition of first-aid supplies and hand gel. Storage instructions and functional checks remain important for the other items too; having no expiry date does not mean maintenance-free. Review the contents every six months. Test the radio, recharge it according to the manual and check packaging, dates and changing personal needs. Keep the kit dry and accessible, following the individual items' instructions. Organise your additions clearly and have a bag ready if you need to leave. Who is this kit for? For someone who wants a clear starting point and will add the missing essentials. First check what you already own and whether the contents suit your household. The checklist helps you complete your plan; this is not an official government kit.
