Choose a water filter for your water source and the model’s specifications. A filter does not make every type of contaminated water safe to drink.

• Check which bacteria and parasites the specific model filters
• Compare capacity and maintenance instructions for each model
• Clean or replace parts as directed in the instructions
• Do not use water suspected of chemical contamination

Emergency kits

Compare emergency kits by their actual contents. Check how much drinking water, food, lighting and first-aid equipment you already have and what you need to add.

• Match the contents to the number of people in your household
• Recommended for at least 72 hours of self-sufficiency
• Check what each kit includes and what is still missing
• Store in a cool, dry place and check annually

Emergency food
