Go Kit Berkey Water Filter
The go kit of berkey is specially designed and made for people who want to take a water filter with them on a trip. In addition to travelers, the GO is also very popular among Preppers due to its compact size and high quality of water purification.
We do not think there is a better water filter for a comparable price.
The Go Kit uses a black Berkey filter like all other water filters from Berkey. Even though the Go is somewhat smaller, there are absolutely no compromises on the quality of water treatment.
The Whole Go Kit weighs in at a total of 1.1KG and can be pushed together to a total height of only 25.4CM. The Berkey is therefore very compact and easy to carry.
Extra water filter
Besides the Berkey Go Waterfilter, the Berkey Go Kit also contains the Sport filter from Berkey. This is a water bottle with a water filter in it. So you can put the dirty water in the bottle.
Because you suck it from the straw, the dirty water is automatically drawn through the water filter and you drink clean drinking water.
The water filter in the Berkey Sport looks identical in shape to the mini water filters from Sawyer. The difference is in the heavy metals. Where you need an S3 for the Sawyer to remove heavy metals, Sport can do this too. The downside of the sport is only that this 160 fillings go with dirty water and 640 fillings with tap water. The Sawyer mini filters 375,000 liters of water but no heavy metals as standard.
You can also use Hadex or add our water purification tablets to the water that you have filtered with the Sport variant. In this way you also make viruses harmless.
Note: The Sport water filter must be replaced after 160 x filling (640 x at Tap water). If you are looking for a water filter that lasts longer, we recommend the Sawyer Personal. But the sport is fun extra to get with the Go kit of course;)
And the shelf life of the filter (unused) is 50 years. This makes it an ideal filter for preppers.
Berkey water filters quality
All Berkey water filters filter 99.9999% of all impurities in the water. Also at the Berkey Go is not cut on the water filtering.
With the supplied black Berkey water filter it does not matter if you get water from the ditch or abroad from the tap, you are assured of clean drinking water.

The Go is suitable for 1-2 persons but in an emergency the go is suitable for small groups of 4-20 people. This makes the water filter extremely suitable as back-up water supplies for families and families.
